Ingredients: 

  • - 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • - 2 tablespoons butter 
  • - 1 medium onion 
  • - 4 cloves of garlic 
  • - 900 ml of any tomato sauce 
  • - Salt and pepper to taste 
  • - Pinch of sugar 
  • - 1 cup heavy cream 
  • - Grated Parmesan or Romano cheese 
  • - Fresh basil, chopped 
  • - 1 package Fettuccine

Preparation: 

- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain the water, leaving 1 cup of water from the pasta.
- Melt the butter and olive butter over medium heat
- Chop the onion and garlic finely
- Saute garlic in butter with onions 1 to 2 minutes
- Pour the tomato sauce, add salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar


- Stir and cook on low heat for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and add the cream.
- Add cheese to taste, then check the seasoning.
- Return the fettuccine to the sauce, stir
- Add the basil to pasta and serve immediately.
